Jeff Davis, author and professional speaker, is coming out with his second book, Reach Your Mountaintop: 10 Keys to Finding the Hidden Opportunity in Your Setbacks, Flipping What You’ve Heard on Its Head, and Achieving Legendary Goals. This book has a powerful message of hope and possibility, mixed with a proven and practical process to get you from where you are to where you want to be.
At age 17, after a series of personally devastating events, Jeff found himself looking at a tree in his backyard with a rope in his hands, close to hanging himself and ending his life. He’s glad he didn’t – he’s glad he listened to the one last spark of hope in the center of his soul – because now he shares his story with the purpose of helping others.
At the time, he thought that nobody would have cared if he killed myself. Perhaps most people wouldn’t have cared, BUT there are always people who do care.
Jeff has a confession to make: he’s always been scared of what people thought of him. That started to change when his mom’s 6 and 7 year-old students were shot and killed at their school, the same elementary school he had attended, many years after he almost hung myself. The feelings of that tragic, senseless, incomprehensible tragedy at his old elementary school reminded him of how incredibly short life is, and he understood he had a message to share. He realized he had to stop being so terrified of being judged by others. He decided to share his story to help others get through dark and challenging times.
His latest book is Reach Your Mountaintop: 10 Keys to Finding the Hidden Opportunity in Your Setbacks, Flipping What You’ve Heard on Its Head, and Achieving Legendary Goals. It features 28 world-renowned experts on how to get past obstacles, become a leader, revolutionize your life (in more ways than one), and get to where you want to be. It has been endorsed by some of the most successful people on the planet.
The value of this book is that in addition to providing powerful case studies and inspirational stories, it thoroughly discusses the tools and practical processes needed to take your life to the next level. The tips, tactics, and insights in each chapter are proven methods, showing you how to move beyond your current troubles, envision a better future, and actually get there one day at a time.
“Reach Your Mountaintop” is now available for sale on Amazon in ebook and print formats.
Please be sure to share this book with as many of your friends as possible right now. Too often, people going through tough times don’t reach out for help. Share this message to show that you are there to help so that suicide is not an option. The more people this message reaches, the more people it could help…and if it helps only one person, maybe someone in your life, it would be worth it. Share Now!
More About the Book
This book has several powerful themes. One, it’s crucial to define your own version of success. Every single day we are bombarded with an absurd amount of external influences. With so many people living lives that aren’t true to themselves, this book is an antidote to the false belief that you are supposed to follow the path laid out for you by others. If following your own path means becoming an entrepreneur, great. If following your own path means pursuing a particular possibility or career option, great. Neither option is better or worse. The point is that you choose to do what’s best for YOU. The catch-22 is that when you go your own way and stay true to yourself, you are then uniquely positioned to best serve and help others.
Two, society and the media don’t talk about what’s most important. Our kids, and for that matter our entire civilization, is bombarded with messages about how our self-worth is tied to external influences. In flipping what you’ve heard on its head, Davis lays out the core skills necessary to truly climb and eventually reach your own Mountaintop. This includes realizing that your self-worth does not depend on external circumstances. Davis featured 28 world-renowned experts, leaders he met and interviewed at various conferences around the world. The tips, tactics, and insights discussed in the book are proven methods to revolutionize your life and become a better leader.
Three, money is only one small metric of success. Please don’t misunderstand: it’s important to make money and we all have to pay the bills and put food on the table. The message here is to consider money within a wider spectrum of what success really means to you.
The beauty of the Mountaintop is that it’s usually not a destination or place. It’s the feeling you get when you stay focused, avoid distractions, and push past roadblocks. It’s a way of thinking, acting, and being. It’s being more concerned with making an impact and helping those in need than needlessly worrying about the opinions of others.
We so often hear of motivational sayings, but we aren’t taught how to follow-through and get to where we want to be. This book changes all of that. With attention-grabbing stories and powerful cases studies, it’s a must read. The content has been endorsed by some of the most successful people on the planet. This book will help you to shatter limitations, live your best life, and genuinely help other people.
A percentage of the proceeds from book sales will be going to Newtown Youth & Family Services, a wonderful organization that aligns with Jeff’s mission.
See you at The Mountaintop!
