If you haven’t read it yet, earlier this year I wrote a widely-read blog post on why Trump is a bad leader in 2020.
For me, it’s never about the party of the person (Democrat vs. Republican) – and always about the character of the person. Do they have integrity? Are they true to their word and do they do what they promise? Or do they say one thing and do another?
I’m an American citizen living in Europe, and I’m also a citizen of the European Union. I must say, I’m beyond dumbfounded that the bully Trump got this many votes and that the election was even close. I don’t understand what goes through the head of some of these Americans.
This is not new behavior from Donald Trump. This is the same sad, pathetic person he’s always been – suing, accusing, blaming, etc. That’s why it’s so shocking that Biden didn’t win in a landslide (but still awesome that he’s becoming President).
For Trump to discount and attack our very democracy by ordering the stopping of vote counting – it shows he’s not only morally corrupt but severely mentally ill. This man needs serious help.
Before you say I’m being harsh, please remember that not only are lives ruined from Trump’s Presidency, but people have died:
- He tore families apart.
- He downplayed and denied the severity of the coronavirus, leading to more deaths.
- He threatened Iran, leading to them accidentally shooting down a commercial airline passenger plane out of fear.
- He constantly contradicts himself.
- He bullies, demeans, and puts down anyone and everyone who disagrees with him.
All of this is only the tip of the iceberg. The time for half-measures is over – we must stand up to this embarrassing man who undid so much of Obama’s excellent work (referring here to healthcare, international peacekeeping, etc.).
Don’t let Donald Trump fool you. His power is an illusion, his image is fake, and his character is flawed. This man, at his core, is a corrupt politician – what he does best is telling lies and getting people to believe those lies.
In a huge way, Trump is a sore loser. Let’s be thankful his reign is coming to a close.
